I am a long time Python user, acting in the role of mentor on this website.
I'm a statistician by training and have spent my recent career working with Python in the fields of data science and machine learning in the UK Government's Department for Health, where I work as a senior analyst. Since I also have a background as a hobbyist electrical engineer I've been experimenting with MicroPython and CircuitPython. I love to help folks make goofy, fun hardware projects as a vehicle for learning.
When I'm not making Python crunch huge amounts of data, I write. My new book, "Getting Started with Python in Data Science" will be published in 2023.
